Unanswered: Sill Plates for Opel GT
I would like to replace my sill plates in my Opel GT. Opel GT source offers new ones for $90 each side. I am looking for a more economical way to do this. I am sure there are sill plates out there that would fit or that I could slightly modify to fit the Opel GT. Anyone have any suggestions?

Laurie;
Just as a thought to get you started, most cars now don't use them as they're incorporated ($.75 word there ) or are plastic. Try a salvage yard that has mostly older cars, say from the 70's on back, or look through YearOnes catalog, or the Paddock, and a few others, and this would include old trucks too, Chevy, Ford, Dodge, etc.
