Yes - I had it done on mine. It is not a straight exchange - can't remember exactly but there were a couple of modifications that needed to be made - install mounting supports?? At sometime there was a nice writeup on what to do that I gave to my body shop - but again i can't remember which site it came from. Try a search and it may pop up.

to convert from solid windows to pop outs you'll have to drill holes in the inside of the car to fit the mount brackets, and you'll also need the window seals and window trim pieces for pop out windows. pristine pop out quarter window trims are rare and hard to come-by.

I believe that the earlier fixed quarter window trim and the later pop-out window trim are completely different. In order to do the conversion, you need the trim, the rubber molding, the window and all the hardware from the later model. JM2CW

Variation of rodneys pop out
here is my variation. It is not as technically challenging or as slick as rodneys, but it works.
I used the cardboard template that rodney made, but instead of bending metal stock, I laid the template on a metal electrical box, traced and cut it out.Fast and quick. Attach the "box" to the widow lever, then trial fit..then screw to the c pillar. PS: Her name is "Celeste",dam is she good lookin |
