This car was in pieces (many pieces!!) when I bought it. These shims were in a small box with a bunch of headlight hardware - screws, the little plastic nuts the adjustments screws go into, etc.) so I assumed they were something to do with the headlights... the mystery continues!

They aren't factory GT parts that I've EVER seen. They may have been used to shim the doors but shouldn't haven't been needed for that as the hinges can be adjusted at the door to body mount or in the door itself. If anything the GT doors are TOO adjustable. There are sooo many ways to get them out of adjustment and only one perfect adjustment. Harold |
