Unanswered: headlight buckets...

I just had my GT painted and they blasted and painted the headlight buckets. I have marked all the other components left or right, but now have no idea which bucket is L or R. They are not identical ( there is a round hole to one side of the rear mount opening). Can anyone tell me how to distinguish L bucket from R? They are hard enough to deal with even when you are sure they are going on the proper side! Thanks, Gordy

headlight buckets

Do a search for headlight buckets and look up jordans post. I believe the covers are stamped around the outside with a L or R.

They aren't marked but when you go to put them on you can tell the difference right away. Be glad you only had 1 set to have painted. I originally painted two right ones for mine. Tinted two left pop out windows for it too. Live and learn I guess.

The buckets are not marked L & R but the Caps that go on them are marked with a "L" & "R" below the lens hole. They only fit correctly on their respective buckets - the fruit of a couple of days trying to get them back in the right way around after my GT was painted....
Be sure to use masking tape around the edges of the holes in the body to protect the paint!!

as jim said, buckets are not marked, just the bubbles, and bubbles only fit on its respective bucket. the bubbles are marked with a "L" or an "R" on the outside of the lip.
