Damn those body guys are good. Some of the things they did I haven't thought of. Gives me ideas for later that's for sure.

GREAT TOOL! for my 11-year-old (and me too).
We're on the front end of his first restoration, this'll give him a chance to see what's to come. I've only looked at the 1st video, but so far so good. Thanks to whoever is responsible. |

Thats lead. They used to use it a while back a lot, but now bondo and fiberglass kind of took the place of it since lead is a lot harder to work with.. but if you know what your doing, will hold up a LOT longer.

Lead
Lead fell into times past for health reasons and the learning curve took time to master; but is still available! Liquid solder !! Lead is hard to work with , it was used extensively in my 1970 Olds Cutlass in the early 80's restoration every seam is visible with time as the paint reacted differently with the lead and the texture is noticeable in the paint . The new age fillers "bondo" have come a long way in quality, properly applied it is my opinion they are now stronger, harder, safer and more user friendly than lead. It's kind of like comparing brazing rod to a mig or tig for welding. If it was superior the restoration shops would still be using and the hours would be reflective in the price of the finished product.
