wow. nice to see somebody doing it right. Good Work!
on the subject of clear fog lights, here's a tip: Go to your local Harley-Davidson shop... Buy a set of "upgrade" passing lamps. Should be about $56. They are replacement assemblies for the two small lights on the touring bikes. They fit PERFECTLY into the trim rings... You have to make your own retainers, but I'll leave that up to you guys. to see 'em: Left Lane Motorsports -- Left Lane Motorsports' Homepage go to the online catalog, and pick passing lights. -dave

Sorry I am off topic.. but would you be able to get me some more information on the projector light kit? Seems like a fair price.. but I don't understand how I would "cover up" the rest of the bucket area.

If I understand correctly you would remove the yellow lenses from the chrome rings and replace them with the lenses and reflectors, then put the whole thing back into the original can.

Sorry about that, I just went and looked at the site, and I understand your question. My opinion, FWIW, would be to get brighter standard lights and maintain the look of the car with the lights open, unless you fab some really sweet looking covers the result will not be too pretty.

Cool color! All the little things take so much time to finish up, your getting close. I know what your going through, been working on my 1959 Triumph TR3, totally restoring it. My other lifetime project! Lyle |

Picked up my re-chromed front bumper today, it is virtually perfect, that is the last major piece I need except for interior panels. I will be waiting to do the interior, except for the headliner, until I have a runner, that way if I have any gas tank or gas line issues they will be easily addressed. After I know everything is right I will do my interior.

Quite some time ago I mentioned (in some other thread I think) that I had designed Center Caps for my wheels, and that I was waiting for my son to have them produced on a CNC machine that he has access to. He stopped by today and brought me my Birthday Present, they are awesome. I am going to have them Gold Anodized to match the car.

Love the center caps! They are truly one of a kind. Also, in the pictures of the rims, I can now see the metallic in the black you were talking about. Assuming it is the same paint as on the rear, correct?

Yup, same paint as the rear, still a little dirty from installing the tires so there is some smudging around the edges but that will come right off with some poly wax.

The GT is up on stands in my garage waiting for the engine to be completed so it will be a while before you see any rolling pictures, believe me I am just as anxious uhhhhh maybe more anxious than you to see it on the ground with all 4 wheels on it......soon, soon, real soon, I am trying to find as many hours as I can to devote to the GT to get it running. The engine I am building is just a little on the customized side .Just recently got back a ceramic coated and polished Sprint Manifold and also just sent out my header for the same treatment so I will have no delay just in case the header doesn't fit, but I had it test fit before the car was painted so it should, I also welded a bung into it for the O2 Sensor for my MegaSquirt EFI computer. Lots of pieces have to come together to make this baby run.

A little progress has been made on my pile of Gold. Engine and tranny are in, fuel system is almost complete, 3.0E intake now fits under the hood, but the back needs to be closed and the accelerator cable mount needs to be relocated, I had to cut it off to fit the intake under the hood. One thing that I don't think has ever been mentioned about a 5 spd install is that the hole for the clutch arm return spring is in the tranny support and when you move the mount back for the 5 spd the hole can't be used any more. I made a simple bracket that mounts to the two unused tranny support holes and then used a threaded rod coupling and a stainless bolt to make an adjustable tensioner for the clutch arm return spring.

Today was a banner day
. Took the pile of gold down off the jack stands and put it on all fours . The exhaust system is complete, oil in the engine and oil pressure just above 3 on the gauge, coolant is in and no leaks so far, gas is in the tank and fuel pump was run to set the pressure at 44 psi no leaks in the fuel system, finally put the front bumper on, oil is in the rear, fusible link added to the wire running from the alternator, steering wheel and horn button installed horn works nicely but had to cut the rivet on the back of the button cause it was shorting to the steering wheel nut and the horn sounded as soon as I turned the key on. Have to put the distributor in so I have a way to get oil pressure, I will be modifying an old distributor so that it will just be a stub sticking up with the shaft running down to the oil pump. I still have to complete the intake system but for now I put the filter inside the engine compartment so that I could start the beast up. MegaSquirt set up is next and then I turn the key to the start position . The dash picture shows the Innovate AFR gauge that I put in where the clock was. Sorry about the blurry pics I despeckled them and I think it screwed them up.
