Unanswered: On the downhill slope!!! Primed!!!
Long story short, it went in to the shop in May with declarations of being done in July, to now. But the good news is that as you can see, all of the body stuff is done and she is all primed and ready to be painted. That has to happen in the next two weeks as that will be the end of her semester. Other news is that while she will be able to paint it, she will not be able to put it back together. I am planning on having it all put back together at a restoration shop here locally in Atlanta, and one of their techs used to work on Opels in Belgium...personally, I'll pay the money to have it put back together correctly the first time...no sense in getting it back from a student all screwed up. So, downhill slope and hopefully I will be able to make it to the Jan 24th Georgia Opelers gathering.....my mouth is watering and it has been 4 long years my friends....the reward is a coming. Paulie;
Glad to hear it. We look forward to seeing you and it in Jan. BTW, what color are you going with?

Looks like it's coming together nicely. Female doing the work, huh. Supposedly one of the best custom painters in Nashville is female. I've seen some of her work and it was nice. She had an Opel that she had planned to work on years ago. I was trying to swap out mechanical work for bodywork and paint but lost touch with her.
