Unanswered: stand placement

this is a pretty simplistic question but where is the best place to put floor stand so the suspension is loaded (as if you're installing sway bars) and unloaded? i know some parts are tough to remove if the system is loaded. any photos greatly appreciated!

to have the suspension loaded with wheels on i would use ramps , if you need the wheels off i would use stands with a wooden block across the lower control arm as far outwards as you can , and with no load on it i would put them under the chassis rails or with blocks on just inboard of where the LCA meet the cross member

Solid!

Whatever you do - make sure it is solid .... shake the car before you get under it and slide a couple of spare wheels, with inflated tyres on them, under the car to allow enough room to prevent your body being crushed should the worst happen.

Loaded with wheels ON - ramps or wooden blocks under the tyres.
DON'T use concrete ('Cinder') blocks or bricks or you will find out how easily they can crumble, dropping the car on to you!

Loaded with wheels OFF - jackstands or wooden blocks under the lower ball joint. Here the wheels & Tyres you have taken off really need to be slid under the car as a 'belts & Braces' safety back-up. There is not much room under a car when it drops down on to the brake discs ........ and your skull CANNOT take the weight ..

Unloaded - jackstands or wooden blocks under the front jack point - that gives you the maximum amount of room to work. Wheels under the floor pan again!
