Unanswered: Worn out parts

I was taking my GT front suspension apart and this is what I find. I thought I would post a few pictures to show you how bad the parts can wear out. I was wondering why the handling was a little weird!
Sooooo.... I am in the market for a another upper A arm and the little metal inner bushings. Hee Hee Hee

That looks bad Roy. Could you see that it was worn that bad just by looking or did you have to take it all apart to see the damage?

I could tell that the rubber bushing was torn before I removed the suspension from the GT but I had no idea that it was that bad until I took it apart. I'm glad I found it!

Roy, I'll look in the Am, I may have some, or a whole front suspension you can get parts from. Jarrell

That had to be clearly visible as funny looking camber, wasn't it?
It's not junk, though, as far as I'm concerned. It could be used on my car, the bushings I use require that tube to be bored out to 1" and a little flaw in one spot won't affect it.
Show us what the bottom bushings looked like. They had to be shot even worse!

Actually, the lower bushings were worn but not that bad. The bushing opposite the bad one on the upper arm was pretty worn but not to the extent of the one I have pictures for. I haven't taken the other side apart yet so I will let you know what I find.
The steering and handling on the GT was just "OK" and had the Opel 55 mph shimmy that we have all come to love and know about. The car wasn't pulling either way although it was a little harder to turn left than right.

Jarrell, I know you are busy with your farming but if you get a free minute, check on those upper A arms for me. Who knows, I may be able to bring your newly chromed bumper to you so I can pick the arms up! Harold said he was going to check for me, too. Thanks to both of you!
