Unanswered: Front end squeaks

I have a squeaky car. I am replacing the tie rod ends due to rotten grease boots and a broken piece in teh one I have removed. I am also going to replace the shocks. Is my next step the poly bushings for the suspension if the other things don't solve it? If that isn't it, then what else? Thanks.

Possible Squeak/Creak Cure

Hey there. I had the same problem with my last GT; mainly a creaking noise from the front suspension. I cured the problem by replacing the front shocks. The upper rubber shock bushings were bad (dry rot?). After putting in new shocks, the squeaking and creaking wents away. So you might want to look at the condition of your upper shock mounts. Take care.

squeaks

the new poly bushings fixed my squeaks. my squeaks were more like groans.
they were so loud ,you could hear them as the car went down the street, Now it is sweet.

I agree with opeldean. I had bad squeaking on my front suspension and I traced it down to dried out bushings. When I rebuilt the front suspension, I replaced the old bushings with poly bushings and used teflon grease and I haven't had any problems since.
