Unanswered: Will a grant brand steering wheel fit?

Has anyone out there tried to install a GRANT steering wheel and adaptor kit on their Opel GT? they are available at Autozone..... Just wondering how well they fit? the Box states can be used for a 69+ Buick but of course has no info about an Opel....

To be honest with you, unless it specifically states Opel, I wouldn't try. There is a resonably priced adaptor that can be gotten to use either a MOMO, RAID, or a NARDI/PERSONAL steering wheels. Go to www.volantiluisi.com and they have one that fit most all OPELs for about $55
Grant steering wheels are ones I tend to stay away from.

Grant steering wheel

You need a hub adapter to make that wheel fit an Opel, and the Buick is'nt it.You also need a horn kit to make the horn work (good luck finding either one) You can do a couple of things about a wheel, buy a european wheel, have yours redone (there are a couple of people on this site that does that) or if you can get your hands on one a Sport wagon or Manta Ralley wheel will work and looks nice. Hope this help you out with the direction you want to go.

The adapter that Autozone currently stocks will not work for GT. They used to have one years ago, but is no longer a stock item. It is possible that your local Autozone store can find you one sitting on someone's shel covered with dust, but it retails for almost $90. As Gene stated, the momo/nardi adapter works great and you can put many different wheels on it, and is much cheaper. I have an address and number listed in one of my gallery pics for a guy that imports them into NY if you want to go that route.

I got a Momo adapter from OGTS, then bought a Momo to Grant adapter, so I could use a Grant wheel a lot cheaper than what I could find a Momo wheel for.

thanks for the tips....
I have this grant wheel which I really want to use. ( it was bought for me, by my grandfather, when 1st started on my opel 3 years ago ,and he has passed away since....)
So you guys are saying I can get a Momo adaptor from OGTS, then use a momo to Grant adaptor and then I can use the Grant wheel I have??? Where do you find a momo to grant adaptor?? Does the end result look pieced together with 2 adaptors being used?

This is the info from Wrangler's gallery per above. I figured I'd post it here to save others the trouble of having to navigate through all the galleries.
