BMW E30 Power steering on a 1970 GT

Hi friends,

I want to modify the E30 rak, I need 2.5 rev from left to right and the oroginal one is 4 rev.
Who is able to make the modification?

To modify a steering rack like this you either need to replace the rack & pinion with ones made for racing with a different ratio, install a ratio changer - like used in some US roundy-round racing or shorten the steering arms.

Any of this requires expert help from a race car steering expert ... with LOTS of Public Liability Insurance. (i.e. - not me!)

Try talking to some of your local BMW racers - if they will talk to an Opel Owner!

Hi Jim,

I tried to contact a BMW dealer of my country, but without succes....
I suppose I can find a factory in Germany able to do it....but it's not easy to find....
