YEEEEOOOOUUUUCCCCHHHHHH!!!
Well, I know one upgrade I won't be getting. Can't justify that kind of cash for something that is just convenience.

Electric Power Steering
A lot of race cars use these. Daytona Prototypes, for example. Not cheap. And I don't really think Opels need power steering anyway.

A good idea.....but I have to agree, not needed for an Opel. For that kind of $$$ I think I could put it to better use on other performance upgrades.

I thought someone on here was tossing around the idea of a Chevette power steering rack?? Not trying to pee on your campfire Blauwmarc.....a good idea indeed!!!!
Its just my personal opinion that power steering in a GT (my car) would be a bit of overkill. A bigger car might be better suited for such an upgrade. I'd be waaaaaaay happier spending that cash on a SSD or DSD set-up!!!!!

I think for us 'European' owners it's a good upgrade and good news, i know it's been used for a couple of Manta rally cars in the UK, but not a GT yet. It get's a thumbs up from me.

opel gt / corsa electric steering
opel corsa electric steering columns can be found easily on ebay uk and germany. there are 2 types one slightly smaller than the other. i am going to fit one to my opel in the next couple of months. they are usually less than 80 dollars used. you must get a complete one with the ecu and wiring. a seperate kit that doesent cost much will then enable you to adjust the % of steering assist via a dash mounted dial. a guy in uk does kits for ford escorts on ebay look under kit cars electric steering. if you can fabricate brackets this is a much cheeper option
