Unanswered: Panhard rod - different sizes

I just realized that Opel used different materials for Panhard rods. I had one from my German model '72 Kadett Rallye next to the one from my US model '69 Kadett Rallye. The US '69 was made from 7/8" (22.2mm) outer dia tube, the German '72 was made out of 1" (25.4mm) outer dia tube. The length and eyes at the end are identical.
Dunno whether that is valuable information to somebody, just wanted to let you know about my experience.
