Question Unanswered: Wheels

Finally found a set of wheels for my GT with 205/60 13 tires. I love the old school look. As you can see from the pic that they need a lot of polishing but are generally in great shape. They are marked on the inside of the wheel 13 5.5 but no maker. Anybody got any idea who the maker was? Just courious.
More pics in my gallery.
Thanks for any info
Duane

I have two sets that are very simular to yours, one set are Ansen's and the other are Cragar's. I think yours may be the Ansen's as the Cragar's are unilug
wheels. I have two extra center caps for the Ansen's if you need them...

I've got 3 different brands of those wheels on Willit? and the trailer for it. Shelby made some , American Racing, and I can't remember the other brand. All of mine were sent out, two at a time, to be chrome plated here in SoCal at $75 per wheel, after I found I couldn't get the finish on them I wanted. Very popular style back them.

I have two very similiar wheels in the garage. Many of the slotted mags made for the smaller four lug bolt patterns had only four slots, rather than the five in your wheels.
The wheels I have are very much like your's. I've uploaded a few pics of one of them. On the backside the words "U.S. Indy Mag" are easily found, as well as the size "13 x 5.5".

The companies that I know of that made an aluminum slotted mag: U.S. Indy (obviously), Fenton, Ansen, Cragar's, Keystone (maybe. They may have been the company that made the all steel slotted mag looking wheel), Challenger, Carroll Shelby, American Racing, Wolfrace, and some others that are more generic. There are many variances in the detailing. Some have the second 'lip' just inside from the edge of the rim, some do not. The raised are in the center of the wheel can vary greatly, or not even be there. The shape and edge details of the slots differ, too. The best way to match them is by the second lip detail and the casting patterns in the back.

Ford used some slots on the Pinto/Mustang II, Maverick, and '73 Mustang, but they are Ford specific, with a black pinstripe. The Pinto/Mustang II wheels were painted white, also. None of the Ford fit the Opels, but if you see them, grab them as they are becoming rather valuable. Straight, unbent 14x6 Ford slots are upwards of $300 and a good set of center caps add another $150 or so.
