Unanswered: Spare wheel

I dunno if this is the right place to start this kinda thread.. but i was wondering if anyone knows how to take the spare wheel out of the back of the 73 manta? Mine seems to be stuck there... and the only way to get it out now would be to let all the air out of it..

any help would be appreciated

Thanks
WT

if the strap is not holding it, then I would let the air out of the tire, the PO may have put the wrong size tire on the rim and it has wedged itself in place.

Because of the way it sits in the trunk, vertical and not horizontal, the wheel tends to vibrate down further into the well. Just let a little air out and rock it back and forth to work it loose. But like Gene said, "if the strap is not holding it..."
