15x7 Rims for '75 Manta & Ascona (1900)?

Does anyone know of a 15x7 steel rim that will fit a 1975 Manta?

I would call Tire Rack. They might be able to set you up with some 4x100 steel wheels that they use for their winter tire packages.

I moved this to the Wheels and Tires Forum.

The '75 Manta used the same bolt pattern as all the other Opels of the era (4X100mm) and came with 13 x 5 1/2" rims versus the older 13 x 5. The stock ET is 38 mm, so many FWD cars (older Honda Civic and Prelude, older Golf/Rabbit, etc, read some of the posts in this forum) are the same fitment. And of course the BMW 2002 and 320i. The Manta is much easier to fit than the GT, which requires a smaller back space.

These were out there in the 80's in Germany, and from time to time there is a set on ebay. They were available from 13x5 up to 17x10 (4/100 bolt pattern). Search for "Mattig Sport* " on ebay.

Thank you for moving the post, my mess up. I have been looking for 15x7 rims with the 4x100 for a mini stock manta. I was hoping a racer would have a brand of choice I could look for and purchase.

I think Pete Paulsen wheels can do the 15" in a 4 x 100 bolt pattern.

And Independent Racing Wheel told me they could as well when I inquired a few years ago.

Don't EVER tell them you are looking for wheels for an Opel Tell them you have a BMW 320i, anything from 1979 to 1983. Or maybe a BMW 2002 Tii, say a 1977. They'll find wheels for the BMW's, but won't find a match for ANY Opel. But they are EXACTLY the same fitment, FWIW.

The 15" steel wheels from the chevy cobalt will also work. Of course with a minor grind of the hub hole to fit the front.

Bassett is going to make the wheels for $77.95 each with a seven day turn around. With the Opel people from this site we are doing well by learning what to do and not to do. Thank you all!

[75 wagon]

New guy here to the Opel site. Just picked up a nice wagon on e-bay. No rust, (battery tray repaired) original green and original interior. Has a 71 or 72 GT motor that has the aluminum valve cover. Anyways, would like to run 15x7 wheels that resemble "old school", but having trouble with finding correct wheel offset. Plenty of nice 4x100 wheels out there. Am I correct that my car has a 4" backspace which would equal a "0" offset if I use a (7") wheel ? Or am I not doing this right. Can someone tell me what is the correct offset for my car useing a 15X7 wheel and maybe what size tires works the best. Obviously trying to stay just within the wheel well.

The wagons have a FWD offset, so any 4X100 mm wheels from the typical places should work fine. It's us GT owners that are screwed.
