Differential Disassembly

Could an Opeler experienced in the field of differential repair please advise me, just how do you get the center pin (which holds the spider gears and spaces the axles apart) out of the carrier housing? There appears to be a roll pin involved, it seems to have been staked in. Do you drive the roll pin in deeper, or maybe push it out from the other side, or what? Why couldn't it be simpler, like on a chevy...
There Must Be A Trick.
Thanks!

It has to be driven out as you look at it left to right. Of course the carrier has to be out first.
