Thumbs up Unanswered: No More "Clunk...Clunk Noise !!!!!

Yesterday we finished replacing all the rubber, bushings, joints, bumpers, trans mount & seals in the drive train of my '73 GT. Wow... !!!What a difference. I can "punch" the fuel going around a corner and don't have to be "soooo careful" from a dead start now. Gotta love it...We're gettin' there now!

Thumbs up Rebuild was very easy....

Really had the best time ever doing this rebuild of drive shaft and central joint. After hearing all the "war stories", I just decided to dive right in.The job was a "piece-of-cake".
The biggest problem I had was getting loose the bolts holding the tranny mount on to the tail of the aluminium trans case. Loosening up 35 years of that "white crud" build-up between the 2 iron bolts and aluminium trans case took about an hour each. Used a lot of "PB Blaster" & a whole lot of MAPP torch heat. Most of this was made quite easy because I don't have to "bust butt" laying on my back any more. I recently got a new drive-on lift for my garage...(That sure helps!) Anybody need a little help, I'll be glad to lend a hand or some advice. . . .Also, thanks Ron for your help and advise...
