Last night at 10:20 PM driving home I saw $2.69/$2.79/$2.89 for 87/89/93 octane. This morning passing the very same station it was $2.99/$3.09/$3.19, and diesel was $3.09 as well. No panic yet, no gas lines or threats of running out. Just your typical New England price gouging.
Makes me glad I don't drive an SUV, that's for sure. Not looking forward to a winter of $3.00 to $4.00 per gallon heating oil in a 200 year old house. Time to start burning Opel parts maybe.
