I was thinking about this today, I drive one or the other of 2 S-10s. A 97 with a manual tranny and a 4.3 or a 02 with auto and a 4.3. I finally drove the 97 enough to see what it gets for milage. It gets real close to 30 on the highway were the 02 at best only gets 19. BTW regular unleaded here is at 2.95 and holding pretty steady. Then again one of the perks of a company truck is a company gas card. I sometimes forget if I'm driving theres or mine when it's time to gas up.
