Unanswered: distributor issues, possibly

Does anyone have an exploded view of a distributor for a '71 1.9? I tried a search, but came up empty. I've been finding a few things from the previous owner on other parts of the car, and I'm kind of wondering about the distributor. I reset the gap on the points, and had trouble getting it consistent, and it won't idle very steady. I know I have problems with the carb, so I'm planning on replacing it, but I'd like to see if there are any problems with this part also, such as maybe things not there that should be...

Not sure if this is enough detail but try the Visual Opel site.

This image is from the Clymer Manual so it covers a series of years. There are differences in the distributors over the years so hopefully this is the one you have.

I haven't gotten as far apart as these photos show, just mainly looking at the distributor breaker plate. I can't really see from the pics what I was wondering about. On mine, I see what looks like a socket where a couple of balls would rest, I guess maybe for a pivot. Should there be two balls there, or is this some sort of an adjustment? My aftermarket manual doesn't get any deeper than merely changing out the distributor.

There is a socket for one ball. It allows for vacuum advance.

Just one ball bearing. Look 180 over to the side of the plate and there should be a small tab folded over. That allows the vac. advance to pull the plate more advanced(or retard depending on year) for better fuel milage.
