Sometimes a distributor cap is molded a little different. Or perhaps you put the wires on in the wrong place. When I last tuned my GT by ear I set the timing too far advanced and had a very similar issue, very slow crank.
It may be as simple as backing off the timing a little. I have decided, Opel starters, don't have a lot of power. Either way you look at it, the problem is the same, and is a simple fix. My motto is start with the simple stuff. Hope this helps. Shawn |
