Thanks for the info. I wanted to have both sets of springs checked so I know what I have, just have not had the time. One of the things about buying someone elses stuff you don't know all the why's and what for's behind everything. Side marker plates go on tonight and Rad gets test fitted. One step closer.

Just a little update. It's all taking longer than expected, as many of the blueprints have long since been put away in storage! No too popular these Opels! The technician at ARP has found all but one head bolt blueprint, and the rocker stud blueprint. So hopefully this week we'll have hard numbers on everything.

Well, I just got off the phone with the rep from ARP. They're having trouble finding some of the drawings because they date back to 1994 or so. I will be sending him samples of most of these bolts instead, so there will be a little more time involved awaiting a reply on price.

Nope, the guy I've been talking to went on vacation. Should be back this week coming up.

I think I'm just going to send him some bolts to make new drawings from. I have one set of the ARP head bolts left over and another set of main studs, I think having them in their hands may expedite things.

What would be needed to jump start this effort?

Dude, ARP has had my personal stash of bolts for over two years now! Effectively they've got $400 worth of my fasteners held hostage, as I can't do anything with 6 rod bolts, 8 main studs, and 8 head bolts.

I'd be happy to just get them back...much less get any more made.

WTF???
Sounds like I need to have my wife call them...
Seriously, that's ridiculous. Does there need to be some minimum order, etc. for you to get them back? I would think 2 years is long enough that an engineer could get all the specs needed to reproduce them. If there's any way I can help, let me know. Perhaps if we put together a group order?

It has nothing to do with a group order. I had a standing (worldwide) order for about $5000 worth of Opel fasteners. It's a matter of priorities. NASCAR, WRC, and F1 trump Opels I guess....

It was May 2007 when I sent them my stuff.

Apparently not. They still have my samples now for over 2 years and 5 months.

Ring ARP!

Perhaps we need to start, individually, contacting ARP and asking for Opel 1.9/2.0 L CIH rod bolts. maybe a few inquiries will spur them into production thinking the demand is rising - which it is.
I would be happy to commit myself to at least six off 4 cylinder sets.
Who should be send our e-Mails and ltters ATTN: of, Bob?
