Unanswered: Fan shroud mounting

Hello Opelers!!!

Can somebody (that it is not much of a burden to him) please post a picture showing how a shroud mounts on a 1.9 radiator, so when I go "shopping" I will know what to look for...

On my radiator I can see 4 "ears", 2 on each side near the top and bottom tank, but they also have a small slot behind them, as if the shroud would also have tabs, making a visual confirmation of combatibility difficult since I have never come across one.

I already bought one from a junkyard, but I was in such a hurry that didn't take a good look at it and had him bag it as it was filthy. It does not fit though (although the idiot guy said it was the correct). Completely unuseable without modification (that I cannot perform...). There go 15 euros wasted... Not a chance of doing this twice, so I need to see one...

Thank you in advance!!!

I got a fan shroud

Today I got lucky and found a shroud that I would describe as 90% correct for my application. It fit without any modifications, I only had to cut some bolts for the correct lenght... Plenty of air-flow through the radiator even at idling!

A small tip. In my Ascona I only had to remove the bottom nut that holds the radiator in place, lift it out of the top mounts and tilt it towards the front grill. With one hand I was holding the radiator at a convenient spot and with the other I slid the shroud in place. There was just enough space to do it. Certainly easier that draining the coolant to remove the radiator, or remove the fan.

Of course I understand that this might not be possible in other models, but I thought I should post for reference...
