Petcock

Karl
I had my radiator recored and added a pet or draincock to the drivers side low. The reason for this being I have an auto tranny. If I had a regular tranny I think I would have put it on the Passenger side. It is still a pain to get to and If I would do another one I think I would move it almost to the side of the radiator , and hook some tubing to it to direct the fluid.

I put a 3 row in last summer and added a petcock on the drivers side about vertical under the the top hose. I failed to get a picture of in before I installed it but here is the front side with the electric fan. It's right on the other side. I hope this helps somewhat. Jarrell

I noticed you have an electric fan, did you remove the fan from the engine, and if so why do you still have the fan shroud installed, wouldn't be easer to get to the belts on the front of the engine with out the shroud. Just curious

Mike, I run it as a pusher with an adjustable thermostat and left the original fan in place. One of our Club members, (Bq97) has done away with the stock fan and runs it as a puller. More efficient and looks better, a very clean installation too. Jarrell

Jarrell,

My electric is also setup as a pusher. There is not enough room between the wider radiator and the water pump pulley to run it as a puller. I had a bung put in at the lower left corner on the radiator tank for the fan's temp sensor which serves as a nice drain.
