Were there petcocks built into the original raiators or do you just take the lower hose off to drain? If there are petcocks, where is it?

There are no petcocks built into original radiators, pulling the lower radiator hose is the most common method, some people have added a petcock lower on the block for draining purposes though that does not get all of the coolant.
