Answered: Temp sensor location?

The heat gauge on my '74 Ascona has always read low. Today it was cool enough to evaluate the heater output. Heat was good so I'm guessing it's either the gauge or the sensor. Where exactly is the temp sensor? I'm guessing it's near the thermostat housing but I don't see it. My factory service manual doesn't show it either.

If you look at the thermo housing, you should see a single blue wire running to a terminal, that's if the PO has not spliced a different color wire on it. The terminal that the wire hooks to is the sensor.
