Unanswered: Threaded hole/Thermostat

On the side of the thermostat housing, guess its the housing, there is a threaded whole, I need to block this or find out what should be there, any help?

There are two different sizes for temperature sensor (located in housing). The 1969 to 1970 (I think) uses larger size; believe both are metric thread.

There are also two different configurations for temperature sensor housing mounting to cylinder head; depending if 1.9 engine has two additional head bolts at front timing case cover (1973 & Up or 1972 if later manufacture).

Opel GT Source should have temp sensor or try www.egauges.com.
Sensor is VDO.
