Unanswered: What temp thermostat is used?
Anyway, what temp thermostat does everyone use?

I run a 160 degree F. Keeps the engine cool. I don't use much heat as it is put away for the winter. This is probably on the cool side

Thermostat Opening
My 1973 OPEL service manual indicates
Filler Cap type - Pressure 13.2-15.2 PSI. Thermostat Open at - 189 F. Of course you might consider the climate in your neck of the woods.

Thanks all, I will try a 190 degree one. I don't drive much in the winter, but we get a ton of very nice sunny days in Michigan, even in the winter. Occasionally getting the GT out is good for the soul, but I hate to wear a coat and gloves for the occasion!
