Gas Cable in a GT 1100?

Who have ever tried to put a gascable into the GT? I'm thinking of installing one, but therefore I have to change my gaspedal's geometrie. I hope this will give me a more 'sensitive' gaspedal! With the currently gasrods, I'm not that happy, it's very difficult to play with the gas. This construction feels very weak! Any idees?

Most of the people who install F.I. in their GT's have to swap from linkage to cable. But, each an every one has their own solution. But, if you have a friend with the old A series Manta or Ascona, you can take a look at that set-up and mybe get a better idea as to what's involved.
