Carb Linkage Assembly

I am putting the throttle linkage back in the GT that I picked up in Carlisle and have a question. My old one was missing one of the ball? ends that hooks it up to the gas pedal. The one I got from Carlisle had the ball end, BUT, the older linkage from my 73 is about half an inch longer than the other one. Will this matter?

the linkage that fits onto the gas pedal is adjustable, you can shorten or lengthen it to adjust the position of your gas pedal so i wouldn't think it'd be a problem.

Ttop, 350, T56 swap, many upgrades, basically a complete restore. 67 chevy sportvan deluxe....next in line.
