Unanswered: Electric or water choke

Stupid question. Not for me though. How do I know if I have an electric or a water choke. My engine doesn't have a weber or solex on it right now. Or do I just get a new weber with an electric choke. It is a 73GT. I thought I read that in 73 they used electric chokes.
