Unanswered: Which is better
which is better a mechanical secondary carb or a vacuum secondary carb I have both types Solex of course I am using the vacuum secondary now I wonder if I would get better performance with the mechanical secondary. Please save the junk it and switch to a weber comments. My opel is all original and I plan to keep it that way. Last edited by tekenaar; 04-15-2006 at 07:59 PM. |

I had a a mechanical secondary Solex carb many years ago and it did well until I got a Weber. The old mechanic that was teaching me about Opels rejetted it and it ran pretty good. So my vote would be for the mechanical secondary.
