Gone crazy?
Is is just me, or does anyone else think the price of this is "over the top"? What is the price of a '75 exhaust going for these days? I'm talking ready to bolt up, no cleaning or flange tapping reqiured. $50, $100, $150?????

Too Much!
...makes the NEW one I bought on EBay.uk less than 12 months ago look good!
99 pence! Mind you, it cost a bit to mail it out!

Especially considering I used to sell new castings from Opel for $175. That was after shipping from Germany and paying customs/duty, then marking it up. I agree, the prices have gotten out of hand recently for some used parts. I mean, it's just an exhaust manifold!

I agree.
That Jim is a bargain shopper if ever I've seen one. All that having been said, I have a '75 that has been cleaned, media-blasted, painted and has the flange holes chased and cleaned for $225-250 with the labor? Does that sound about right? If so, where did the $385 come from? Wow!

Good for you Phil!...it's about time something GOOD came out of your Opel efforts. As has been said, when it's on Ebay, it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay. I suspect this is getting close to the price you'd pay to have someone make a custom header with performance exceeding that of the EFI manifolds. WOW!

Funny German ebay sells them cheap.Shipping is less than $100 and most will ship items that small.I have asked a few guys lately all willing to ship the manifolds.None are willing to ship trannys though.

trannys have to be drained and cleaned to export to the states and the shipper gets a huge bill if any oil drips out and messes up the floor in customs
i think this is why not many folks will ship trannys ,

Just goes to show what happens when 2 people want the same thing.I didn't even think about letting it drain.I figure pay them extra.Money talks. But ultimately I am saving a few hundred dollars. Thanks Tim

The $602 is still pending with Amex. I get weekly calls from a collection agency on behalf of Paypal...somehow they feel that I owe them money.

Glad some good came out of the ordeal Phil. I don't understand the collection agency calls. I'd call them and tell them to send it in writting so you forward the letter to your lawyer and see what they say then. What a mess. Jarrell
