If a magnet stick to it it is chrome not stainless steel , look around the collector flange for a name . HTH

Header Value
IF the flange is not warped and all the welds are in good shape with no rust it should be worth $100-125 used. Headers are kinda like politicians, you either love them or hate then. The FI exhaust manifold is much less trouble keeping sealed up but it does not proudce the sound of a header nor will it flow as freely a high RPM's. If the car is driven enough to keep condensation from sitting in the exhaust system the header will last a pretty good while, if it sits and is only driven once in a while it will rust out much quicker. The best of both worlds is a header with a thick flange that is flame or ceramic coated. If someone wants a better than stock exhaust system but don't want to spend $200-300 for a "sprint" FI manifold then the header will get the job done.

Funny thing about old stuff...if you let it sit around long enough, anything is eventually going to be worth money. About ten years ago I threw out 8 new chrome Pacesetter headers because the quality was just horrible.
Shoulda hung onto them and put them on ebay...I can see it now, 'Rare vintage chrome Opel headers'. Bidding starts at $400... ![]() Bob |

If you don't mind selling something you know to be crappy to someone who expects to get good use out of it. I mind.
