Unanswered: exhaust opinion

i have a new header and even the front muffler here laying in my garage. car currently has no exhaust whatsoever installed. wanting a COOL sound that will still enable the stereo to be heard. don't like the bumble bee sound that kids are sporting today. Definately want it to sound like a sports car though. is the rear muffler ogts sells for me or is there something else out there that would better suit what i am looking for? have never really heard the original exhaust sound.....

. . . it's been discussed 'ad nauseam' . . . how about a little "Search" (on the Home page) first?

I tried and unconventional approach and am satsfied with the result: I bought the shortest 2" intake and outlet glass pack that I could find (that's right,...a glasspack) and 2, 2" muffled exhaust tips (Monza exhaust), I had the muffler guy tie the two tips together so they looked like the original (sort of,...just bigger ) and t'd the pipe from the glass pack into them,...works great,...a bit loud but in a 289 Mustang sort of way,...not a souped up Accord sort of way

The muffler from OGTS is a resonator not a muffler it is a resonator. Just a "can" for lowering the exhaust noise. Get a Dynomax 17777 muffler from Summit Racing $66. Great sound a built very well. Great sound at idle and very sporty at speed, not annoying at cruising speeds. Did I mention it only has a 11" case so it will fit in the stock location perfectly? "2 pipe to muffler, 2 1/4" over axle to twin pipes, I like resonator tips too, sounds so sweet.

Exclamation JCW muffler . . . small size, nice sound, cheap!

Here's the one I've used on most of my Opels, 'A' format:

Stock/street mods: 2" in/out . . .
Cam/valves/carb/other mods: 2¼" in/out . . .

There is also one that is $23 Thrush 17703 2" in 2" out. Just have a muffler shop spread the out to 2 1/4".

Dynomax Thrush Turbo Mufflers: WLK-17703 - summitracing.com
