Unanswered: I Know we have some fabricators here..
Best I can find is a 5 cylinder version. If I sent someone the manifold and the gasket.. could someone make me up a header? I don't need anythign fancier than the original shape minus the built in CAT. I may need it to go a little lower than the original OUt location.. but wont know that until I get the motor in. The flane looks pretty straight forward.. its flat with a few holes in it. So I am sure it could be CNC'd. I would even do the CAD work for it. BTW.. the guys on an colorado forum are also looking for headers too for the I-4 so .. it could be made into a production run. Charles

1) Get an exhaust gasket from a 4200 and compare it to the 2800. 2) If it looks like it might work, cut down the 4200 manifold to fit the 2800. I believe this would be the cheapest way to go, just some work on your part.

Charles, the tough part might be getting somebody to build the header without the car. I personally won't do that anymore...too many things can go wrong because of outside variables I have no control over!
Best bet is to get the engine and tranny mounted on the actual mounts you will use before going any further, and find someone who can build it locally. It's amazing how just 1/8" of deviation in a mount can affect the exhaust fitment.

Calling the guys that make that one to find out if they can do a 4 cly version.. But thought maybe if someone here could CNC the Flange.. I could sell those to the Colorado guys.. and maybe get a header made locally for me. Since it would seem I would like the collector to be higher more like where it joins at the factory. This header doesnt solve the problem of trying to wedge the CAT between the block and firewall.
