Whats the trick to getting my hedman headers on my 73 GT? What do I have to remove to make drop into place?

It's been quite a long time, but, I think you have to unbolt the motor at the mounts and lift the motor up a little...I think....

Two different types were made and they mount a bit differently. The first one and most common, you have to hold the engine in place and remove the motor mount to manouver and slide the header in. The second kind has a long "L" shaped #1 pipe, not very common and I have seen only a few of these, which requires you to remove the motor mount rubber and engine bracket.

I do it a different way, I stick the header in as far as it can go in the well and then slowly manouver back into position. This way is time consuming however with a little patience it goes into place.

The Hedman header looks to be easier to install than the old Pacesetter I installed years ago. I seem to recall having to remove the t-stat housing and the valve cover to give me just enough angle for clearance inserting the header from the top.
