Unanswered: Exhaust manifold

Hello...
Does anyone know if there are other Opels that use the same exhaust manifold as on the GT?
Just to know if they are easy to find on a scrapyard.

Arrow 1968-1974 CIH exhaust manifold

As far as I know and verified by my parts manual (P/N 850315), what Gene said is correct, at least for the US exhaust manifolds up to 1975. All '75 exhaust manifolds were the 'Sprint' type used with that years Bosch EFI, without the heat plenum bolted to the intake manifold.

Were the 'twist' manifolds perhaps used for steering clearance with RHD Opels?

i dont know otto mines lhd

when i got my gt i needed a down pipe from the manifold to the exhaust (the 2 into 1 bit ) and the only ones i could get were for manta /ascona
even though they were listed for the GT they had the same # as the manta /ascona and when i got it i had to heat it and twist it to match my GT must have been around 20 -30 deg out from the manta one
i now wonder if i had some odd manifold !! anyone know if the record is the same or not ??

as far as I know the Ascona's, Manta's and Rekord's have the same exhaust manifold, and I'm almost sure that al the exhaust manifolds for the CHI engines are the same, almost!!!! [maybe not the FI ones]

if im remembering right the gt /manta and ascona should be square to the engine and the one i had was angled back a bit so it looks like one from after 75 the pic of the auto one(bottom) is what i think pre75 are like and the manual(top) is like i had or the other way round it was a while ago (1982)

Both units in your pictures are for Opels from 9/75 on, which would make them '76 models here . . . not imported to US.

Hello,
AFAIK, the RHD Ascona/Manta A and B series had the 'twisted' downpipe flange to clear the lower steering shaft and make space for the clutch cable.
Never seen a RHD Kadett B 1.9, so cannot comment.
I have seen that the RHD Frontera 2.4s have a similar downpipe but it looks to be swept further back than the Ascona/Manta chassis cars.
The few GTs that were around here all had the 'normal' LHD manifold.
Have a good weekend.

Thx for the info so far.
Does anybody know the number(s) that are on the manifold?
It's very hard to see on mine....
I think on the left it's 14711 (isn't that a parfume also? ) and on the right something like: 2 "opel sign" 8 930 206 3.
Rini.
