I am going to do my exhaust shortly - going custom with turbo muffler (dual outlets) with custom pipes going out the back to chrome tips. Using a header (thanks OpelWasp) remember - loud pipes save lives

Std Resonator

The standard resonator is just a round or oval empty can often with only one outlet working! A 4" bit of stainless tube, squashed oval, with a couple of Headman Header resonator tips fitted will work as well as anything you can buy - and still looks relatively stock.

Jim, on Willit's original resonator, there were a couple of inserts, like the VW exhaust stingers welded inside the chrome tips. It took me a while with my handy dandy Dremel to get them out. It did increase the exhaust note, but not by too much. BTW the weld had been chromed over, so I am presuming they were original.

Yes!

Thaose are the actual 'working' bits of the resonator - the Headman Header tips in the Product Review section are good replacements.

resonated tips

The resonated tips look nvery nice.
But I believe there are experienced opelers who say they rob power. There is a reason to not put the resonator(mini muffler) on the end...but I dont it.
Davegts in Colorado..the one who races...and also rally bob as I recall..did not like these ends
