I have been running 38-40deg for years.
rally Bob sugested that 36 was the number.
while i had the flywheel(trans swap to bmw)i maked it a various deg with a 36deg mark.
the engine is based on 72stuff with cast flat tops and timing cover and double pully off of 75fi engine and has a pointer similar to the one on flywheel.
I like to transfer what ever degree i am going to run to front pully as it real hard to see flywheel marks under the weber side drafts.

i set flywheel on my 36deg mark and went to mark the pully and what did i find?!
a steel ball on front pully dead on 36deg!!

hats off to rally Bob for always having the right info!
