Can anyone tell me if the tune up specs are the same for a (71-73 Opel GT), as they are listed here for the (69-70 Opel GT)? Any remarks on lining up the timing light too would be greatly appreciated.

Yep!

All the tuning info there is much the same as for a 71-73 1.9L motor too.
Though the later motors will take a wee bit more ignition advance than the factory setting - maybe the width of the timing mark on the front cover.
Any sounds like big hammers hitting the top of the pistons and retard it a bit - if the exhaust manifold glows red-hot after a long run then ignition needs a bit more advance. Best to find someone with a timing light which flashes each time cylinder #1 fires and shines a stroboscopic light down on to the timing marks. Makes the front pulley look like it is not rotating and shows up the timing marks - great to watch!

1.9 specs look a wee bit low. I believe if you check you'll find M/T 850-900 and A/T at 750-800. I'm not sure of the A/T speed.

A/T specs 750 - 800 but I find them what low myself , for me 950 - 1000 RPM in the P or N [= about 750 - 800 in D] works the best
