Unanswered: Stuck clutch

My GT has sat for about 3 years without being driven. I just got it running again but have found that the clutch is stuck. I can't get it in gear. I have tried bumping the car wiht it in gear but that hasn't done it. My next step is to take off the bellhousing shield and have somebody push on the clutch while I gently try to pry it loose with a screwdriver.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks.

Chad

Chad;
If the clutch was pretty much worn when it was parked 3 years ago, why not just go ahead and replace it? That'll definitely take care of your problem.

clutch kits versus dealin with old clutches is not worth it to me. the WHOLE kit was 125 and it was even a special order item. included dick, plate, throw out bearing, pilot bearing, clutch alignment tool, and spline lubricant. surfacing the flywheel was only 25 bucks and it really improved the feel for the car. it was a campbells auto store so if its a chain and theres one closeby i'd check on that. you wont be able to get to the clutch assembly through the inspection cover anyway.
