The spring is .297" OD (about 7.5 mm), and roughly 1.4" free-length. I don't have the ball bearing diameter offhand. Last edited by RallyBob; 07-02-2007 at 10:01 PM. |

And there ought to be a little round shoe that fits under the spring as well, the last bit to go in, but I don't know if you can't get along without it. The bearing, spring and shoe all fit in that order into the hole on the passenger side of the casting, not the selector release side. If you try to install it there, the bearing should roll out the top as it did for me once but you don't want to lose it in the box.
I like the nifty magnet in the base to catch shavings, but I'd just as soon they put a drain plug in the thing. Jim
