internal speed o gear

the internal gear (nylon usually white) has a flat hair pin shape (spring metal) that holds this gear in place. They can break and allow the gear to slide out of contact position of the 'blue' gear. To make the repair you will have to remove the tail shaft section of the tranny. And if your clip is broken you can fabricate one that will hold it, but its better to have the spring clip.
