If you put 'em on wrong, it changes your internal switch mechanism, and you will have 5 reverse gears and only one forward gear.
![]() Sorry I couldn't resist. Yes of course, since it is "only" a switch, it absolutely does not matter. Technically speaking, if a switch gets actuated, it means that two or more poles (here: two) get connected, so that an electrical current can flow between the poles. Electrical current doesn't care whether its flowing from A to B or from B to A. You can easily understand that example: if an electrical wire has 120V on it, it doesn't matter on which end you touch it, you get whacked in any way.Dieter
