Unanswered: Took a look a my spare transmission today!

Open up oil pan and will be needing a seal there of course. But the gears and insides are like BRAND NEW!

Since the transmission in my opel gt is for a manta I plan on using the spare one above because its off a 1969 opel gt. Now my main question is... What are all the seals I need and anything else I need to replace before I put it back on. Gear wise its perfect but im talking seals, gaskets you know just the bare minimal.

You can swap the shifter mount on your current trans to sit proper in a GT, takes a few minutes (with the trans out of the car) and a few simple hand tools

I would much rather use this 69 transmission because it has a nice stiff pattern. And my car dont like to shift when everything is cold. And when it does sometimes it don't take the gear. So even if i do take the transmission off i would rather just have another one ready to bolt in and be down with it in a weekend project. Anyways I mostly want to do it for the knowledge.

Try using 75w90 gear oil. I used a heavier weight once. Hard to shift in cool weather until you've driven a short distance.
