Unanswered: In need of the thrust spring (?) for Getrag conversion
![]() I need the spring that goes over the tail shaft of the Getrag. They are the ones the automatics came with. Yes, I know OGTS has them, I just wanted to see if anyone here has a spare laying around. Gene is pretty sure he will be able to set me up with the brackets that come from a Manta/1900. I will probably just need to call Gil for the little rubber boot that goes over the end of the clutch cable, the rubber piece that goes in the clutch arm hole, and I am gonna replace the rubber boot for the parking brake to body, unless anyone has some of these bits as extras laying around that they would like to part with. ![]() Lining up the Getrag to the engine was no easy task. I put the jack under the engine cradle and loosened the 6 bolts from that, lowering it about 1/2" (13mm). That did the trick! Slid right on. I wanted to do the S-10 clutch, but right now finances wouldn't allow it. I replaced the clutch with a LUK (I think) very recently anyway.

Yes, Rodney has it. Rodney has everything! Rodney had all the shifter linkage stuff I needed. But that whole, "Rod's Opel Werks" thing. You know, business, making money. I'll buy one off Rodney if I can't find a "spare" laying around somewhere for a better deal.
