Unanswered: Tuning with Carburetor Spacers

I was viewing a 2005 thread started by SVOPEL discussing carburetor spacers and saw that it could be a cheap way to increase performance.

http://www.opelgt.com/forums/scca/74...or-spacer.html

Rallybob and others made very good points in the thread about how the thickness of the spacers can affect the power-band. I searched the web and found an article titled "Tuning with Carburetor Spacers".

http://www.gnetworks.com/v4files/bar...h%20images.pdf

One part of this article caught my eye, Combination Spacers. It reads that this type spacer can provide the best of both worlds. It will increase both throttle response and acceleration; can also increase or broaden the torque and power-band. As you read this article it refers to 4-hole carb/spacer, where we have the two-hole carb/spacer.

Has anyone out there experimented or tested a combination spacer???? RallyBob?????

I don't have the equipment to machine such a spacer, so I haven't tried it. Only the 'open' style or the 'two-hole' style. The 'two-hole' style worked better for me in every instance.

You could make a open one and a 2 or 4 hole one and stick them together??

these spacers, wil they work with a single barrel carb??
